I think we need a bit of clarification from you regarding what it is you are attempting to do.
let us take the PAL video system. 1 FRAME - 1/25th of a second - less than the blink of an eye. If on the other hand you are using NTSC then the blink is even quicker 1/30th of a second.
Are you attempting to output your video as single frames for further editing in an imaging program such as PhotoImpact or photoshop?
If so the procedure is here:
MediaStudio/VideoStudio: Use A Video Sequence File

VS11 does not support importing of JPEG in less than 1 sec duration.
Vs8 and lower was able to import images in frames.
What you can do, is to select the images in the timeline/storyboard and set to desired duration, note that the duration display in VS is in Hours:Minutes:Secords:Frames (0:00:00:00) format.
Check the Preference (F6).
In MSP 8 Pro, it has an option to import images in frame duration.

I have not seen VS 11, but are you saying in VS10 that (0:00:00:01) is one second? Then (0:00:00:10) would be 10 seconds? I don't think so.ArcAngel wrote:VS11 does not support importing of JPEG in less than 1 sec duration.

Once your images are in your timeline you can set the duration of them to 1 frame - but you cannot set this as the insert default
From discussion in another thread it appears that I am the only one who can select the first image in the timeline then shift+select the last to have them all selected at the same time - then go to "Clip >> Change Image/color duration" and reset all the clips in one go. It works for me but not for others so it 'could' work for you gdewolf - it's worth a try to save you doing 340 one at a time.

Read my first post again. That is just what I said.vidoman wrote:Read his post again, He states H:MM:SS:FF (Hours, Minutes, Seconds Frames. So 0:00:00:01 is 1 Frame.
Then ArcAngel wrote:
VS11 does not support importing of JPEG in less than 1 sec duration, which is wrong. (I am not sure where the word import fits into any of this as you are dropping the image into the timeline and not really importing anything. In reality, the default time for an image in the timeline is 3 seconds.
Then in my last post I did make the mistake of going all the way over to the frame count, all of which shows that displaying images for less then one second, even down to one frame is possible which I thought was the original question in the first place.

I may be wrong in the term importing, but the process is still importing, then from the library, you can then drop it to timeline.
And you can actually import, right-click the timeline/storyboard then choose insert image.
And yes, about the default time duration, you can simply change it in the Preference (F6), at the Edit tab.
