VS Manual - ?

Post by Zeb »

Doe one exist?

I've been using VS10 for a while now just doing what I know to do. (EDIT: Convert downloaded NTSC files from various formats to MPEG-2 PAL)

My mother uses Final Cut Pro on the downstairs Mac and my brother has created a music video on his G5 so I know these programs are capable of a lot more than I'm aware of how to.

Even some tutorials would be good so I can get to know the interface a bit more. I'm not even sure the preferences to their optimum values. What do all the menu functions do?

Is there a PDF or HTML manual somewhere?

If you have the full version of VS10/10+ then you should already have the manual. You should be able to access it by going to Start || All Programs || Ulead Video Studio 10. In the menu fly-out it should be listed, generally the second from the bottom.

It is installed to C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Video Studio 10 Folder..

If not, then you can download it from HERE

We have several tutorials, found in our Video Tutorials Section.

The General Information Forum has a lot of Information, that is real valuable.

Many thanks for your quick answer, I don't have the manual in my start menu, all I have is this:

I'll visit the link you supplied and download it - thanks for posting that :)

Thanks also for posting a link to the tutorial section.

I'm off work ill this week and to keep me from going mad I plan to spend some time with my head buried in the manual and VS10 and see what I can come up with.

Yes, my copy is full. I did try downloading the trial version and loved it so much ended up buying it. What amazed me the most was the price compared to how much mother paid for FCP :P

That's strange that it does not have the manual in the fly-out menu. Do you have VS10 or VS10 Plus?

Here's what mine shows:

Hope you get well soon..:)

I just checked the "About" menu option and I think it's just the VS10 version as I can't see any mention of "Plus" anywhere.

I just downloaded the PDF manual directly to my start menu so it's now there.

ESD and TBYB versions do not include the manual (and HELP FILE) in the program installer. Please download it from the link provided above.

Retail version has manual included.

OK, I figured out that TBYB stands for "try before you buy" but I can't figure out what ESD means?

Okies, thanks for explaining that.

To save wasting anyone's time I'll stop posting in here now as I now have what I came here for - the manual!

Thanks for the help, I'm off to make another coffee before I "bury my head" ;)
