OK, I just downloaded this to play with and wanted to check one thing. I assume that if something is grayed out, then it not available unless you purchase? I am trying to have a title animated ie scroll from teh bottom and it won't let me. Also, the text seems blurry during playback in the preview window. I assume that is just how it is and won't burn back that way?
Are there more effects in teh full version? The ones listed seem to be the same from the only version I have ever used VS6.
Thanks for the help.

The TBYB should also allow you to do animated titles. You need to click on your title in the Preview window to select it. Then click on the Animation tab. Check the box beside, Apply Animation. Now you can choose what type of animation. To have your text scroll in from the bottom, click on the drop-down menu and select Fly as the animation type. The first preset, is a scrolling effect, that enters from the bottom, exits to the top. To adjust the pause, drag the pause duration handles (below the preview window) to the left and right. The longer the blue bar the longer the pause.
Are you asking about Transitions? I don't know how many the TBYB has, but the full version has:

mbiga - The VS preview window results have been terrible for many versions. Fortunately, the rendered version saved to disk *usually* looks as great (or crap) as you make it. Dunno why, but I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than moi can answer that if you're into the tech stuff.
BTW, I responded to your question about DVD Authoring software on the other thread.

God I love this forum. Thanks for the help vidoman and LGO, I'm looking forward to your response. I am just playing w/ this and not sure where to find things. Looks like the transitions/effects are all there as you mentioned, although I don't see the album one. I am just playing w/ jpg to make a dvd of a trip. I am sure there is a way to fade in the first picture w/ a title overlay? Is there a manual for VS11 that I can download? I hate to bug you guys w/ basic questions while I am getting up to speed.

This is not entirely true.LGO wrote:mbiga - The VS preview window results have been terrible for many versions. Fortunately, the rendered version saved to disk *usually* looks as great (or crap) as you make it. ....
Most Ulead video and DVD authoring software have options for resampling quality and playback method where you can chose to preview your project smoothly but might result to slower operation or preview it intantly, and the video will result to a jerky playback (during preview only).
Please read the manual for more info on the Preference where you can customize teh program's working environment.

So what are the differences between TBYB, download and pack?
Just curious if there are any differences between the versions...If I was to buy a copy, is there a difference between the downloaded and packaged version?
For example does WinDVD8 (Silver) come with the TBYB? Are there any specific features that can't be tried out?
Thanks!

I don't think the album transition is included in the trial.mbiga wrote:God I love this forum. Thanks for the help vidoman and LGO, I'm looking forward to your response. Do you want to fade from a title on a colored (or black) background to your video? Just drag a color clip from the color album to the timeline, followed by your video clip. Now put a crossfade transition between them. Allign your title with the color clip.
The manual can be found here.
