menu editing

Post by scomb09 »

I have video studio 10 plus. I know how to create menus and all that jazz, but, i was wondering if there was a way to create hyperlinks on the menu, for example text that would take the viewer to a menu of deleted scenes.
Thanks

Welcome to the forums,

I believe you have answered your own question.

Yes, use a Text only Menu. In VS10+ you can use Smart Menus, Thumbnail, or Text.

And also add text that is not a video, with my knowlege of it, the only text i can get to appear is the titles of movies that i select in the 1st step, it also says in the advanced settings create menu and chapter menu no hyperlinked menu. also sorry for double posting

A Text Menu is basically hyperlinks. True your text needs to be the title of a video clip.

I think for this work, you will need your Deleted Scenes to be a separate video. Then create Chapters, perhaps each deleted scene being a chapter. Create a Chapter Menu for your Deleted Scenes.

In your Main Menu, you would have one of the video clips titled Deleted Scenes. Then clicking on the Deleted Scenes Text, would then open the Chapter Menu of the Deleted Scenes Video. The viewer can then select which deleted scene they want to view.

However with chapters, once a chapter is selected the video will continue to play until the end, instead of returning to a menu at the end of that chapter.

A DVD authoring program such as DVD WS2, would be better for what you are wanting to do.
