Importing Panasonic HDC-SD1 .MTS files

Post by tryme »

I have read the tutorial on http://www.ulead.com/learning/vs/vs11_03_1.htm. Unfortunately I have only been archiving the .MTS files since these are what I have been able to play with haali and CoreAVC.

Is there any way to import the .MTS files directly without the .CPI and .BDM files which I no longer have?

Can't hurt to try renaming the extension to .m2t or .mpg or .m2ts

Tryme,
I took my .mts files, from the same camcorder you got. And dragged the AVCHD folder which they were stored in. To the letter of that main drive (lets say "D") the one it was stored in; and then the S11+ program was able to find, and import the files, using the Import DVD folder function. For some reason, S11+ doesn't like, or see the subfolders. Normally when you save these mts files. They are stored in a couple of subfolders.

Thanks for your suggestion but it did not work. When I tried to "import video", I get "Unable to open file" "File format mismatch" [16803:1:3]

Thanks richmg821,

Your suggestion was helpful, but you need to do a little more. You need to make copies of the .CPI files in AVCHD/BDMV/CLIPINF and make sure there is one for each .MTS. Its a real hastle.

ULEAD, is there any prospect of importing the .MTS files directly as a video clip?

Representatives visit this board infrequently (if at all). If you have a problem that needs their attention you need to submit a Tech Support Form.
