I have an image that is 125x125 that I want to tile to make into a background. Can someone give me instructions on how to do this?
Thanks,
Suzanne
How do I tile an image?
Suzanne,
I believe MF does not have such an option.
But creating an image using tiles of a smaller image is easy with software that provides this feature, like Cool3D.
For certain images it is useful to have software that also allows soft borders with transparency, so the edges can overlap and blend.
If you have no other software, then you can do it manually with Paint.
This is tedious, but not too bad if just doing it once and if no work is needed for the edges of the tiles...
Create a new image with the same resolution as your DVD project.
Open your small image in a new window, copy and paste it into your new image. Paste again and align the pasted image carefully before clicking elsewhere. Repeat until you've filled the new image, and save.
With a 125x125 image you'll "only" be positioning about 24 pastes

You can't tile a background image directly in MF - well, AFAIK. You need to create it at the size that matches your frame size using a graphics editor like PhotoImpact (or Photoshop or PaintShop Pro or any number of others) - then import it into MF as a background image.
Or if you don't have any of those, you could email me your 125x125 image (click on the 'email' button below), telling me your frame size, and I'll do it for you.
