Audo Editing- Help Devil!

Post by aiki88 »

Devil if you're out there...

I am edting some sound files of narration for a voiceover to be used in a DVD, but even though the recording was good (sound booth) there's a bit of noise. I tried audio editor but even using the lowest setting for reduce noise (1) it creates sudden high hisses where before there were none. Can you reccommend an editing solution (cheap) for this? Thanks in advance.

I am sure I know what he will recommend - Audacity - it's free

Thanks-the problem is, when I try to open my narrated (captured) sound files the software crashes. I can only open files I've edited in Audio Editor. I downloaded the "stable" version of Audacity. If I open the original audio files in Audio Editor, save them as new AVIs, I can open them in Audacity. This is fine, just a little more work. Thanks again

What format are you saving those audio files to.
Use WAV rather than MP3.
