How can I burn my avchd files to hddvd and watch on xbox 360

Im just wondering if I will be able to watch my avchd video on hddvd format and watch it on my xbox 360 hddvd player. Thanks.

To create a HD-DVD read the users manual and perform a search on this forum using avchd as the search item. You will find the correct method to convert the avchd videos to hd-mpeg2 format and then use the hd-mpeg2 videos to burn a hd-dvd or a standard dvd in the hd-dvd format. These standard dvd's will play in most hd-dvd players. I don't know about the hd-dvd player add-on that the xbox360 uses. It should work, you just have to make sure your dvd media make/type is compatible with the external HD-DVD player.

The Sony Playstation 3 can play the avchd disks from it's disk drive and the H264 / mpeg4 files from local devices without any conversion along with HD-Mpeg2 video.

XBOX360 HD Video / HD-WMV Format
You will have to check on the format that the Xbox360 uses to playback HD-Video. I do know that the Xbox360 will playback HD-WMV videos from a dvd (not HD-Mpeg2). This should also work on an external harddisk for the Xbox360.
I haven't be able to get the Xbox360 to playback HD-Mpeg2 video. I have been able to get the a xbox360 to playback HD-WMV videos encoded at 8000kbs windows encoder 9 and 9/9.1 for the audio at 384kbs 16bit, stereo.
You can also stream the HD-WMV videos if the xbox is connected to a XP machine (media edition).
I would go to the xbox360 web forums and learn the "How-To's" for creating a xbox360 hd-wmv compliant video(s) for playing back HD-WMV media files.

Thank you very much, i was able to convert my avchd files to hd dvd format and burned them on a dvd-r and it worked on the xbox 360 hd dvd player at 1080i.
