Audio Playback Jumpy

Post by janis »

I am using VS 8 and I have created a video with only photos and I have added one song from a CD, when i play it back on my DVD player, the song jumps a little higher and lower in areas. It sounds likes it is jumping from left to right, but I can always here the music playing. It is just a little annoying. Any suggestions?

Hi,

Non linear Editors like VS8 like sound to be a 48KHz wav file. What might be experiencing is the audio's failure to resample where it should.

My Settings

Here are my settings and I just let the music record from a CD. Should anything be changed?

NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
MPEG files
24 Bits, 720 x 480, 29.97 fps
Lower Field First
(DVD-NTSC), 4:3
Video data rate: 6000 kbps
LPCM Audio, 48 KHz, Stereo

Thanks

Can you clarify this statement? Did you actually record the audio from a CD through a soundcard, or did you extract the audio digitally? Does the audio file you have play back normally, or does it also exhibit the distortions that you get when you play the DVD?

Clarify

I do not hear any distortions when I playback the song on my computer - only on TV when I put in the DVD. I simply place the orginal CD in the CD Rom drive and press the record song button and VS8 records the music onto the music line of the project.

Thanks
