Capture DVD-RAM

Post by Betsey »

My Panasonic VDR-D100 can use DVD-RAM discs as well as DVD-RW. These create *.VRO files just like DVD-RW(VR Format) except that you cannot finalize/complete the DVD-RAM. I cannot import the video from the DVD-RAM - no problem with the DVD-RW. I have tried importing from both my DVD burner and the camera. DVD burner does not recognize the file although windows explorer knows there is something there. Importing from the camera says there is no capture device attached although again, Windows explorer recognizes the camera with it's files. I have installed Panasonic's driver to no avail. Any ideas would be most appreciated. This disc has the last of my Alaska vacation on it.
Thanks

Is your DVD drive compatible with DVD-RAM?

I've written a tutorial here:
