VS 11 10% Off Coupon In NewsLetter Does Not Work!

Post by dblml320 »

ON 3/29/2007 I received a newsletter from Ulead with a 10% off code for VS11. So, I tried to order VS11 tonight using the code, only to have the ordering system tell me the code is unknown.

Anybody run into this and get any sort of resolution? My experience with Ulead Customer Service in the past shirks my confidence that I should even bother to contact them.

It wasn't in a newsletter, those users who downloaded the Vista patch for VS10 were given the 10% voucher.

Yep, the same voucher that should work on DMF6 purchases and fails that as well... I gave up on Ulead vouchers. Too bad their software is good enough to pay the full price anyway ;-)

Guys,
I need some more information from you, Ulead are investigating this problem.

Are you entering the code that begins YU and ends with a 5
Also looking at the email that was sent out I see a misleading * character at the end. You do NOT add the * character, the last character is the 5

Yes, I am entering YXXXXXX5 (blanked out the internal digits) without the "*" character, and of course no leading spaces.

Steve, thanks also for digging into this! I really appreciate it!

Didn't work for me either when trying to purchase the VS11Plus and also the MF6+ upgrades, Maybe it only applies for "Full" versus "Upgrade" purchases?

It makes no mention that it must be a new purchase rather than an upgrade. It does, however, state:
Ulead reserves the right to cancel or change offers and/or promotions at our own discretion. All prices are subject to change without prior notice, and limited to stock on hand. Some offers and/or promotions may be limited or not valid in certain areas.
Maybe they've already canceled the promotion. :?

That was my thought too, but wouldn't that be strange considering the fact that the promotion was aimed specifically at existing customers....

I also attempted to place an order and got an error message. I called Element 5 to see if I could place the order with a human but still no luck, the coupon was rejected.

I tried an email address that was provided but that was also rejected.

Anything else to try to get that discount coupon to work??
