Flashing Video

Hi, I'm having a prob;em with a video that i am putting together... it is a large compilation of smaller videos that are anywhere from 5 to 10 seconds. The video in question is about 25 minutes of these. I believe that the files are Mpeg 2 but regardless of that when i play the burned dvd it does fine untill id say about 7 to 10 minutes into the video when it begins to sort of flash. Almost like its skipping like a CD but it is very brief. I have no idea what to do about it, iv'e tried making it into smaller 5 - 6 minute videos and putting them in order and that did'nt work. The only other thing i can think of is that the music on there is causing it to skip or something but please help, i'm desperate and need to meet a deadline. Thanks
