Sound AND vision

First, Ulead10 seems to work fine with Vista though right now I am loading the Vista pack. I've starterd working with Ulead 10 today. I've imported some clips and added some background music but I can't get previews that bring me both the video-sound and the background music at the same time. Is it Vista or am I doing something wrong. Please help me out.

I've downloaded the Vista pack but that does not help.
Let me give more detail.
I'm importing clips and, while playing them I see the movie and hear the sound that comes with it. I'm trying to adjust the sound using the red 'rubber band' in the clip but I hear no difference.
Then I import background music ( normal MPEG) and place it om the musictrack. I click on the sound and do hear the music. I try the rubber band and actualle do see the mxinng sliders move but hear no difference.

Then I'm anxious to hear both movie and backgroundmusic but whatever I try it just does not work.
Now, with all you specialists here, what am I, a Video-Dummy, doing wrong !!

Are your previewing in Clip mode (which plays only the audio on the clip) or Project mode, which should give you the full spectrum...? You can toggle between the two. Directly under the preview screen is the blue progress bar, and under that you will see Project and Clip...

Wow, I got the whole thing working ! I unistalled Ulead, downloaded the Vista pack, installed Ulead again an then eran the Vista pack. That worked. One question : I choose 'High Quality' in the preferences for preview but when I preview I get a message that my projects preferences does not allow High Quality Preview. What's to do here ?
