My seperate video clips will play as normally when selected, but no picture is shown when I play them in the timeline, as a full project.

I recently got Vista, and downloaded the update from ulead.com, and I need HELP now!!!!!

Please answer as soon as possible!!!!

Not sure how you expect an answer with the wealth of info you provided. :?

Where are the clips coming from? How did you get them into your computer? Right click on a clip and copy it's properties here. What are your project properties? Were you working on this project before switching to Vista?

Info on my video

Post by toby93 »

My clips are coming from my Samsung Video Camcorder which came with Ulead Videostudio 9, but I recently bought version 10 Plus. I get them on via a USB chord.

Its properties are:

Microsoft AVI files-OpenDML
SEDG Video Decoder
24 bits, 720x576
13,073 KB

I was working on the project before I switched, but remade it in Videostudio 10 soon after.

Please reply to soon!!!! Thanks!!!!

Toby93 -- I can't say I am familiar with the SEDG codec/format...

However, if your Samsung is a mini DV model, the ONLY way of capturing high quality video is NOT using the USB cord, but a Firewire one. It may be called the iLink or IEEE1394 connection in the camera manual.

And if you don't have a firewire connection on your computer, you should buy a card and install it. They are cheap these days and easy to install.
