Please read herebefore taking the plunge, knowing that it won't work with MSP, anyway.

FYI - Video apps are not the only ones having Vista issues.... VPN's such as Cisco's don't work properly with Vista. In addition Vista's power management is a laptop battery killer!

I just bought XP full version for 81 bucks and will not be going Vista for at least 3-4 years or until Service Pack 4 is out :-)

Have you tried to set Control Panel->Power Options->Power Plan from Balance to Power Saver on Vista for your laptop?

BTW, I think the power plan settings on Vista are a little complicated so people might get lost when they are trying to optimize the power management for their system....

FYI, Cisco releasesed version 5 back in March which works with VISTA.

For the battery problem, I have better performance on my UMPC then with XP tablet edition. Also, the interface is much more tablet friendly then xp tablet.
