JVC GZ-HD7U + VS10 or 11

The new JVC GZ-HD7 HDD camcorder records FullHD (1920x1080) footage on hard disk drive with the MPEG-2 format. According to what I've read on others forums, the files on the HDD are with the .TOD extension. Converting .TOD to .MPG with the bundled software do a compression to the video because the file get smaller than original.

My question is, if I plan to buy this camcorder, will I be able to import and edit .TOD FullHD files with VideoStudio10 or 11.

Actually I use VS10+ with a DVD camcorder and it works really well.
