I installed DVD Movie Factory 3.5 SE (CD) that came with a Pioneer DVD writer DVR-A08. I had to abort the installation after it got stuck for 30 min. with a message stating:” Searching for DirectX Runtime components and updating as necessary”. I uninstalled it and reinstalled from the hard drive after cleaning up the Temp folder, as recommended by Ulead. I got the same result as before.
Part of DVDMF got installed. For example, Novabackup works, but Create Data Discs does not.
Any advice?
Thanks
Installation problem

Install DirectX 9 or later before you install DVDMF. You should be able to find a DirectX folder in the CD, locate the folder and install DirectX.
If you cannot install it from the CD, you can get the latest DirectX version from Microsoft Windows Update.
Hope this helps.
