I'm working in VS9 and whenever I place a sound file in the "Music Track" I receive the message "vstudio.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created."
This use to work fine. HELP.
Thanks
Andy

Is it a particular sound file or any sound file? What format is the sound file?

VS9 Sound problem
It's a mp3 file. I've used these before with no problems. Thanks for the help.

I bet he is using MP3. Whilst many users do not have a problem with MP3 files others do. This is because MP3 is a generic term for a range of formats given the MP3 extension but different codecs were used to create that particular MP3. Bit like cheese with Cheddar, Gorgonzola, Danish Blue, Gouda etc.
Perhaps you need to convert your sound file to WAV format, you can do this easily with the FREE audio editing program Audacity

Some people have reported problems with MP3s. Yours may have worked in the past because previous files may have used different codecs than the one you are trying now.
Try converting your MP3 to a WAV file. Many third party audio apps can do that. Many on this forum use Audacity, and it's FREE.
