does anyone know how to adjust opacity of a picture using PI 11?

Try this...
1. Open your image
2. Make sure Preserve Base Image is not checked (under View on the Menu)
3. Right-click on image, select ALL
4. Right-click again and select Convert to Object
5. Adjust the transparency the desired amount (first icon on menu bar above pointer tool).
