I'm having an out of sync problem with VS10. Almost 2 sec. I've read the threads with the VS8 problems and the solutions. Should I use the same tactic? I've got 2.5 hours of video and I'm planning on using 2 DVDS. Should I render an mpeg2 file and then split it into 2? Or should I split the project up before rendering(is that possible?) The original burn had 1:18 on 1 and 1:10 on the other DVD
I'm using Win2000 pro, 128 video, 1 gig ram and a Sempron 3100
Out of sync

You haven't old us what the source of your original video was, and what the captured properties were; nor what editing you have done.
However, my own preference would be divide the project into two: with the whole project in the timeline, save it as Project A or any other name you like. Move to the part where you want to make the cut. Delete the second part after the cut, then save it as Project A1. Close that and reopen Project A, go to the same point, make your cut, but delete the first part, then save it as Project A2.
Then, with A2 still in the timeline, go to Share > Create Video File > DVD to produce a DVD-compatible mpeg-2 of that part of the project. When that is done, close the project, reopen A1 and do the same.
Test both to make sure the audio is in sync.
Then with an empty timeline (and that's important), go to Share > Create Disc. Insert both your new mpeg-2s. Make sure 'do not convert compliant mpeg files' is ticked in the Options cogwheel icon in the bottom left of the burning screen. Build your menus and burn.
Just to be sure, in the final burning screen, you might want to create a DVD folder instead of actually burning a disc. That way you can play back your final output on a software DVD player to see if it is still in sync. If it is, you can then use then use the DVD folder to burn as many copies as you like using a third party software like Nero or Roxio.
