fill bucket & color range select PI-12
I'm not attempting to convert the data type. I'm editing in the BMP, TIFF or UFO file types (like I have been doing for years) and it des not matter which of the 3 file types I'm using, no matter what, the 1-255 choice is limited to 25. I can still do what I want to do but I'm so used to the previous number choices, I now have to play around to find the right selection when using the fill bucket. I rarely ever do anything with a GIF file. Any other suggestions?

PI-11 to adjust the color range you should have in the Attribute Toolbar the spin box to change the range from 1-255.

I just tried various Data Types, and the only data type that would not allow a color range, was the black & white 1-bit. All the others I could set it anywhere from 1-255..

PI-12 slide bar window numbers
After noticing several other slide bar selections also were also limited in the range of numbers (one of them, the brush width in the preferences - tools settings) would only go from 10 - 50 (100 - 500 was the normal range). I figured something in the program was corrupted. So I removed PI-12 and re-installed it.....no change.
Now I'm beginning to think that I'm nuts. Next fired up my notebook (which also has PI-12 installed) to check out my last thoughts. No, I'm not going nut's, there was PI-12 working just the way I recalled that it has always worked.
I then thought about any changes that was made in my computer with the last 24 hours. I recalled only one! My 67 year old eyes are not as good as they used to be and with my new 24" HD monitor set at max resolution the text is quite small. So in my desktop properties, I had switched the appearance font size from normal to larger. I switched back to normal and Voila, all was back to normal with my PI-12.
Any thoughts on why that setting would affect the slide bar window's numerical selection with PI-12????
