I purchased PhotoImpact 10 online as a download when it was first released. I had to reinstall it due to a system crash and now Smart download doesn't work. I can select files to download and it cycles through the names of all the files but it won't download them. After cycling through the file names it says "0 files downloaded". I was able to download the manual but that's all.
What's wrong?
Smart download doesn't work

My s/n is embedded in the download exe. I now have all the downloadable components saved to the hdd. Smart Download is a good idea but if it doesn't work it's not of any use. Maybe the files were moved to some other location than where smart dl is looking. Next time I won't dl any software from ulead unless the full versions are available. Adobe, MS and others have huge downloads for their products. Maybe ulead should follow suit.sjj1805 wrote:To save downloading again at a future date please view:

The links on the page you referenced for the components take a full 4 minutes before asking to save to disk. Servers are slow. However, I was able to eventually get all the components.

Did you click the link I gave you?
What it tells you is....
When you have downloaded software (including service packs, components etc) then preserve those downloads on disc. Include on that disc a text file with your serial numbers, copies of recipts and anything else that may assist you to re-install that software again at a later date should the need arise.
This will remove the need for you to download them again from the Ulead website at a future date.
