Is it possible to relink a whole project?

Post by Condemor »

Hello

I just got a second hard drive, which I will be using to store my future VideoStudio projects. Just wondering if there is quick way of moving the one project I have made so far there. I imagine I will have to copy all video/audio files to anew folder plus the VSP file. But then it might ask for relinking the items, and to be honest, this project contains loads of different videos, mp3, pictures, etc. to be linking them one by one.

Any straight forward alternative?

Thanks

Why not just let the current project's files where they are until you are finished? Start using the new HD with your next new project. If that's not an option and if your currents project's video, pics, and music are all in the same folder, keep them together when you move them. When you attempt to open the project after the move it will ask you to relink the first clip, but then VS should automatically find the others.

Thanks for your reply.
The project is finished and on DVD, but I would like to keep it in case sometime I want to make any changes. New hard drive is 500GB so plenty of room to keep backups.
I will try what you suggested and see if it relinks automatically
