The problem is the convoluted copyright laws. People think when they buy a DVD or CD they can then do with it what they like. That's not always the case. But, aside from lawyers, nobody really knows what the case is.
I'm not a lawyer but I do know how to read the FBI warning on the Forest Gump DVD and almost all dvd's.
Decision made to end a debate and discourage dubbing copyrighted material.
It's very simple, don't argue/debate on this forum, simply pick up the phone, call the FBI and ask them directly.
