Editing VOB files from a Sony Camcorder

This is a problem- I need to edit .vob files from a Sony MiniDVD camcorder.

I've followed this plan- convert .vob to .mpeg extentions and opened them in VideoStudio 10+. Some of these work well while others play incorrectly. an obvious problem with the files compression format. Does Ulead have a work around?

Have you tried doing it the proper way
