You're right. That's been asked for quite a bit. What I do is simply rename the thumbnail, usually just with an "X".

We are unable to cut a clip on the time line & paste it elsewhere. We need to to drag the clips across the time line, (both main time line and overlay time line). Though VSP11+ gives the option to cut, it does not allow the clip to be pasted elsewhere on the time line.
Allowing us to cut paste as desired would be a very useful feature when the clips run into large numbers.

Export to YouTube
Sometimes I want to export my video file to Youtube but it is bigger than 100MB, the maximum allowed in that site. Then I have to make a lot of experiences to find the best set to make a video about 100MB with the best image. I always have to get help in another softwares, like WMM, because the result with UVS is poor. It would be interesting if I had a Youtube Button to make this job, a video with 100 MB with the best image.

Read this thread http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=26655 and especially check the link in the first post.nlimonge wrote:Sometimes I want to export my video file to Youtube but it is bigger than 100MB, the maximum allowed in that site. new project properties
To be able to change the standard format when starting a new project in VS11. I older versions I could choose for example a DV project or choose "project same as first video clip".
In actual VS11 is DVD PAL always the properties of a new project. I must each time manually change the properties of the new project (something I sometimes forgot to do).
Thanks

Wish List
Somehow offer a patch or fix in the program of displaying the time/date stamp from my sony DVD cam, it appears in the finished product even if you dont want it to. I am using files that I formerly edited in Windows Movie Maker and the time stamp did not appear there. Very annoying problem I STILL cant seem to get around (YES I did follow the thread by tetralite and I cant get it to work...) and YES I did turn the time stamp feature OFF in my Sony cam for future projects. Thanks.

Hi,
I'm using VS9 at the moment but will move up to the latest soon, so I'd like to see.
1 Folders for video clips collected for different jobs.
2 A colored slider handle for the library making it more visible.
3 An option to place VS temp files in a folder and location of one's choice.
4 A button to purge temp files when req'd.
5 A button or option to have ripple editing always on.
6 A vectorscope - as provided in MSP.
7 A simulated white balance for film (Super 8, Hi 8 etc.)
8 A simulated white balance for different video light conditions.
9 More understandable or intuitive thumbnails for video filters
10 A more effective way to reduce green tint or blu tint in videos.
11 Ability to draw paths, circles etc. on video as route markers in holiday travel videos

A "library" for custom settings for transitions, effects, and pan-zooms. The ability to apply trans/eff/panzooms to multiple selections in a single operation. The ability to select a custom set of panzooms and a custom set of transitions to randomly apply to a slide show or a selected subset of a slide show.
What others have said about preserving your position on the timeline when clicking on a different (e.g. audio) clip or switching views.
What others have said about finer control of editing the rubber band nodes on the audio clips. Globally raising the volume on a clip would be good, perhaps selecting and raising all the nodes on the volume envelope proportionately. Or even all nodes on all clips on the track. Global volume control would be ok too, but not as a sum, but a "multiplier" so fades or other volume changes are modified proportionately.
"reset" buttons in many of the keyframe dialogs to snap all the parameters at a keyframe to a "normal" setting (e.g. brightness/contrast/etc to "no change", or pan-zoom to "full screen, center").
pan-zoom settings for video clips.
ripple mode for chapter markers (i.e. when adding, deleting or changing the length of a clip or a transition, all markers to the right move just as ripple mode works for clips).
share to dvd menu to take the names from the chapter markers in the editing project.
Thanks for this opportunity to list wishes!
