I'd like to see the facility to save filter settings and other adjustments (eg color correction) that have been applied to one (split) scene so that they can be applied to other scenes, at least in the same project.

An example might be applying the same white balance settings to a series of scenes shot under the same lighting conditions:

Yes, saving custom filters just like you can save custom colors or titles.

Support for Flash 8 - a lot of internet sites containing flash animations are now prompting users to upgrade to flash viewer 8.
As soon as they do so the flash animations in VideoStudio will no longer work until the user reverts to Flash 7.

Combine Clips

Post by MikeB51 »

It would be nice to be able to combine clips so that you can use a transition.

Save Batch file for later date conversion

Post by jfcooper »

Hi there
This is definitly a must, it would be nice to create a batch file as you work on over possibly several days (like I do), save the batch file, for later execution.

I think I'll just ditto a few aforementioned items...

1) An updated Library Manager with folders and sub-folders
2) A "Film-Look" video filter
3) Some way (like a color coded frame or tab) to tell if a particular clip or image in the libray has already been used in the timeline

I would like to see more features on the audio side!

In a normal production, you have at least a sync track, a music track , a commentary track and some effects tracks. It would also be really good to edit the audio associated with the main video track separately, so that you could replace some of the sound to get rid of mic rustles etc.

I'm new to VS11, so it's quite possible that you can do some or all of these things already, it's just that I don't know how to

You can right click a clip in the video track and choose Split Audio, which will move it to the audio track (while muting it in the video track). The controls for audio, however, are still rudimentary at best. Many of us more experienced users use third party software or plugins (of which can be found on the FAQ - General Info section of this forum).

Make that awfully fiddly zoom properties window much bigger and correspondingly smoother in operation

Humble request for future version

Humble request for future version

After splitting so many clips when you drag clip and put to time line, already dragged clip should show (sign mark) or show ticked sign .this should help us to know which clip we have already dragged to timeline that we can avoid duplication of same clips.
this option already there in pinnacle studio older version itself.

Cheers

I work with others in the development of a project and there is typically a lot of moving/changes in the timeline which means I spend a lot of time going back for the transitions. It would speed my particular projects greatly if:

(1) the transition effect were not deleted when I move or delete a clip or slide. Its far quicker for me to delete an unwanted effect than it is to put one back in.

(2) if the "my Favorites" were to be expanded to be "my favorites for this project" AND these appeared on the toolbar. While the my favorites helped a lot what would be great would be if I could pick them off the toolbar rather than traversing menus.

Thanks....

Combine Video and Photos

Post by JBRichter »

I have VS 11 Plus.
I go on allot of hikes and my friends shoot allot of photos as well as I do and of course I shoot the video as well. If I could combine video and photos in the same folder and sort by date and time and then import into the timeline, I would have the perfect story of events that took place in the order they happened.
