File Mismatch
File Mismatch
Just upgraded from Studio 8 to 10plus. It seems that all the *vsp files done in Studio 8 were converted to 10 plus *vsp files. Unable to access these *vsp files as it issue an error, file mismatch. How can I get all these files be accessed in Studio 10 plus? There are 15 video edited files I need to recover. Thanks for the help.....herc72

vsp files are VideoStudio project files
What is a project file?
You will find that if you go to Windows Explorer and double click a vsp file it will launch with whatever is your latest version of VideoStudio.
This does not prevent you from manually opening the vsp file with the original version of VideoStudio that created it.
vsp files are backwards compatible but not the other way round.
You can open a VS8 vsp file with VS10
You cannot open a VS10 vsp with with VS8.
We recommend that you complete a project using the version of VideoStudio that created it.

Thank you very much for the help. I thought it was a good idea to open the V8 *vsp files using the V10 in order to make use of the added features, e.g overllay and 5.1 surround. This information is very helpful....herc72
