Freeze Frame problems - Media Studio Pro 7

I've used it before - now it doesn't work. I split audio/video, select the video. right-click - scroll down to "freeze frame". Up comes the dialog box, I type in the "before" or "after" time code, enter the duration, click OK. When I go back to the selected clip, there's no Roll Bar - nothing. Doing a playback, nothing froze.

I'm doing it to edit a scene where the actor spoke over a sound effect. I simply want to freeze the frame before his talk-over and play the effect - then resume both video and audio.

Any help is appreciated!

I can't remember if this feature is in 7, but the way I do it is to capture the frame I want to JPG and then insert it as a picture on the timeline. Maybe this will work for you?

It's not the way I've done it before - but it certainly took the guess-work out if it.
