ULEAD 10+ DVD JUMPING AFTER BURNING
hi, i used 10+ and found it jumps when making a dvd, i previously used ulead videostudio 7 with no problems, but needed to upgrade for importing dolby digital and other things, i have turned anti flicker on and of to no effect, in the end after trying things i made a create video file (avi) and brought it into pinnacle, which rendered it fine, but obviously i like ulead due to ease of use etc
anyone help?
(i have turned of antivirus etc) 3ghz hyperthread, 2.5gb of ram and 256mb graphics card
cheers grant

I presume that you have set the 'Burn' settings correctly (bottom left corner of 'Burn Window' three Icons) Particularly check the settings in the one that looks like a gear wheel are correct and match your project.
Feedback after members have endeavoured to help you is not only good manners it also helps others to know if a given solution was effective. Thanks.

Grant,
Are you making a DVD to be viewed on a television? If so then unless the TV is a Progressive Scan, you need to change your Field Order from Frame Based to what your source video clips Field Orders are. If you captured DV, then the Field Order will be Lower Field First, analog captures generally are Upper Field First.
Reversing or using the wrong field order most certainly causes the problems you are experiencing..

Mini-dv is DV, which the field order must be Lower Field First. If you were just doing a slide-show or a video comprised of photos only, then you would use Frame Based, because photos are not interlaced. Video is interlaced. I don't see how you got away with it in VS7, other then the field order was set to Lower Field First in your Project Properties.
You will probably need to start a new project, making sure your field order is set to Lower Field First. Then bring in your video clips. The easiest way to keep from getting the properties wrong is to go to Preferences (press F6 or File>Preferences), then on the General Tab, check the box beside where it says Show Message when inserting first video clip into the Timeline. Also on that same tab there is a drop-down menu for Default Field Order. If you are primarily capturing DV, then set that to Lower Field First.

Type 2 may give you problems if your pc doesn't have enough horse power. Type 1 is recommended. BTW, Type 1 also includes audio.
