ULead MF3 crashes after adding text

When I add text to my mpg files during the editing phase of Movie Factory, when I go to burn the video, the program crashes during the converting videos phase. If I remove the text, all is well. Sometimes is will convert a few short files, but eventually it crashes every time. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution? Thanks!

I believe you have installed the update packs already?

I have all the updates except the last dll update installed. I previously had them all installed but ULead tech support had me remove the last update, as it caused problems when adding music to the menus. Only the first menu would have the music and the others would have only a 1/2 sec music file added. The fix was to uninstall and install everything but the last update. However, I was also having the problem with crashing when I had all the updates installed, as well. I have verified that this happens when I've added text in the editing stage. When I remove the text, the project usually will burn...but the reason I bought this version was to have the capacity to do some editing, and now the only extra I have is the motion menu, not enough to make the update worth while.

Now that MF4 is out, do you think there is much chance they will do any more updates to ver 3? Have others reported similar problems?

I do not know anyone reported the problem in DVDMF 4, and it works in my DVDMF 3.5 and 4.

It might be interesting to investigate your issue, I think you have reported the problem to Ulead Tech Support already?

I have done more testing and find that some files are ok (will not crash when edited with added text) and others crash whenever I add text. I don't know what would cause the difference, as they were all captured the same way (avi) and converted to mpg with ULead Video Studio 7. All have the exact same properties, as well. This has occured with several projects and different files.

I have submitted the problem to Ulead.

If you capture the video in DVDMF, will this problem still occur?

Yes. In fact, I did capture them in DVDMF3. I then had problems with them and converted them to mpg in Video Studio because DVDMF was constantly crashing when it did the convert process (from the avi to the mpg.) I was able to convert in Video Studio with no problem and then had somewhat better luck in MF, with the exceptions I've mentioned.
