Not a baseball hitting a bat type....I want the ones you hear on Fox Sports or ESPN. They use them with transitions. Do you know what I mean? Like wooshes and the like....I have been searching, but can't find them. Do they call them stingers, introductions, highlight effects ???? I found one sport clip on veoh that has one that I think I can use. Someone must know Jeff(black lab) you gotta know

Yes I know...BUT I'm looking for this very specific effect. I was wondering if anyone had already come across it. I have been searching for it on other sites but I can't find what I am looking for. I can find everything I don't want! You know how that is! ha ha... I am doing a 5th gr graduation project ( I teach computers) I am in the process of doing a presentation for the 5th gr graduating class. The begining theme is all LAW and Order...introducing the teachers Law & Order style...Then it is all about the kids. I have been filming for a month(over that now). I need one last segment...the faculty/student kickball game. I want to do it ESPN style...with those sound effects. We have a tournament starting MON...the class that wins plays the teachers. So I want a fast clip of each game leading up to the BIG ONE! using those sound effects........I am stepping of the soap box now!!!!!!
I've got an idea on what you're after, I'd like a similar effect. However it is hard to come across it. What you might try doing is recording a segment of ESPN, that has that sound effect. Bring the video into your PC, into VS and split the audio, and create a sound file from the audio.
I agree with vidoman - use ESPN's sound effect. Extract the effet you want and you can edit it in audacity if you want. Then drop it in where needed in the video.
Many seem to think they need to acquire a stand-alone sound effect without thinking that they may have the exact thing they want in a video already. I know that's not the case here, but the point is extracting sounds you have in videos is a great way to build your own sound effect library.
On a trip to Paris many moons ago, I heard a police siren coming down the street toward us. I turned on the vid-cam right away and filmed the sidewalk for the 10+ seconds it took for the police to come past me and continue on just so I could capture the sound. Extracted it from the sidewalk video and been using that spooky European siren in vid stuff for 8 years now. <LOL>
In this case, you'd be using ESPN's sound but since your production is not for commerical use, and can be argued that it is educational, I would think you're not violating any copyright. If that's a concern, put ESPN in your credits. <g>
I may get in trouble for discussing a non-ulead product, but I hope not. I found Digital Juice about a year ago and they have some cool things. They just introduced an item called Swipes that sound like what you are looking for... check here http://www.digitaljuice.com/products/pr ... =1&pvid=13
As usual I will throw out the disclaimer... I DO NOT work for them, nor am in any way affiliated with them. They just have some very cool effects that have worked really well for me with VS10+ Hope that heps a little.
Thank You!!! I broke down and purchased the Swipes from Digital Juice. I hate to admit it but....I don't have a dvd player that records I should because I love all the Planet Earth on Discovery Channnel shows! Thanks Again everyone!!!!

Tunnel Vision...to me it looked the closest to the ones you see on Fox and ESPN I will have it in 2 days!!!! business days that is...BUT I do like the Broadcast edge also. I might think about that one as well.
