unspecified error 8004145d

Post by John Melvin »

WS 2.0 with latest patch to 2.231 I think. Everything has been working just fine then started getting "data not burned to disc" errors and assumed it was my DVD burner. Also got "unspecified error error code 8004145d". So, installed new Sony burner DRU-710A. Same results .

I have two batchs of Verbatim 2X-R DVD's which have worked perfectly in the past. Now, neither one will work.

Also, Nero will not burn the .iso file.

I think it is not a hardware problem.

Nor, is it a media problem.

Nor , is it a WS problem in that Nero will not burn it either.

I do not have Roxio on this computer. Do not know what it is.

I am in a bind so any help would really be appreciated.

THanks

John

Wth me it is a ready to go dvd folder. I have burned with this program dvd just fine. But now with 3 % I've got the error.

I had a version of Nero but i already uninstalled that and in the registry deleted as much as i could found of it.

all the patches i have downloaded and installed. I don't know what to do??

What did Nero do when it failed?

Could the ISO be corrupt? How was it generated?

Finally, I have had some hangs in the past that were resolved by uninstalling DVDWS and then reinstalling it in a new folder.

I'm not saying this is the answer, but it may be. I used to burn with a Pioneer A-03 which had 2 x max. I had a stock of 1 x and 2 x media. When I installed a 16 x DL burner, it simply refused the old discs and requires 4 x ±R minimum (it will accept 2 x -RW and 2.4 x +RW). I imagine that it cannot reduce the power of the laser sufficiently while burning.

HI, I just found out about this forum, because i have exactly the same problem with my dvd workshop. I just can't burn any more projects. Also making a iso file and want to burn it with nero, then nero will crash. I have tried all the solutions here...but nothing works :(
