Should I upgrade???

Post by sportswizdan »

Hi All...

I have not been on here for a long time and need your expert advise. I am presently using Video Studio 8. I know that there has been VS9 and VS10 and VS10 Plus out since I purchased my software. Is either one of these versions better in performance quality or audio sync issues? I basically use mine for capturing and the editing with lots of wipes and fades and transitions. I capture my digital and Hi-8 footage through my camcorder, via fire wire connection in AVI Format. After editing, transitions and wipes, I make this into a DVD. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,

Dan

Hi
Is either one of these versions better in performance quality or audio sync issues?
In my opinion:-
All versions are better at 'audio sync' than VS 8.
VS 9---overall is probably the best version released to date.
But if you are updating then wait for VS 11, unless you can get 9 at a discount.

Using VS 8 disable Smart Render to overcome audio sync issues.

It is no secret that the release of VS11 is imminent and so you may wish to wait a short while and keep checking the Ulead Website for news.

No, he's just reporting info.

DVDMF6 doesn't work on 2000 and will as usually be part of VS11, and anyway the Ulead website in Japanese says XP and Vista only.
This my understanding of it.
I have been proven wrong on several occasions in my life. It's not going to improve.

I can't read Japanese, however this is from their website. I do not think you need to read Japanese to understand what it may be saying...

In view of the obvious release in Japan I have created a post showing what's new in the forthcoming version. I cannot see any harm in releasing this information to you now.

VideoStudio 11+ (Now released in Japan)
