Missing jog in timeline feature?

Hi, really sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find it in any messages.

I had the previous version of Media Studio and I am trying the trial for 7. Am I blind, stupid (maybe don't answer that) or crazy because I can't seem to find any way to turn on the timeline jog feature. I looked through the timeline index and can't find any info about it. In the last version, there was also a numercial timeline counter in between the video file line and the tools in the Timeline window.

As it is now, I am using the jog under the monitor view in the Preview window. It's annoying to say the least, as before I could browse through the timeline and simply hover above any given spot, and could select, trim, or move the video files. I can still do that, but it's like using a remote control. I never had to use the "Edit Point" or "Fast forward to frame" buttons before.

So, is this a feature that is really gone or could one of you possibly give me a tip? I'll take light ridicule at the expense of learning how to turn that durn thing on. Thanks!

This might help illustrate my problem.

Media Studio 6 had the option for the timeline to be displayed with a counter. Also, my arrow is pointing to the jog/edit point selection. I could just whip that thing anywhere in the timeline I wanted to just by clicking on the counter (where the blue bracket is)

7 is missing these things as far as I can tell. I can still see how many seconds along I am because it appears in the lower right-most part of the screen when I hover above the timeline, but I can't find a way to turn on either of the features highlighted in the pic from studio 6.

I'm running MSP 7.2 full version and it's timeline essentially looks like the version 6 timeline that you have shown. The only differences are 7.2 is using different graphics for some of the timeline controls (as shown in your version 7 timeline graphic).

Must be a limitation of the trial version.

Thanks for the reply. If the full version has the same features...and it's just the trial that is missing them, that should be fine. At least I know I can't turn them on, so I'll stop agonizing over it. Thanks again.

i have found something about your problem in our german forum about Mediastudio.

Here two people had the same problem. They fixed that with deinstalling and reinstalling the trial again. Nobody knows why, but it works.
