Jagged Images in Slideshow

Post by astrovideo »

When I create a slideshow un Video Studio, and play it
back within the editor, the images are "jagged". However when I export
to Mpeg, the resulting file looks fine. Why does the slideshow look
jagged when playing back inside of the editor? Is there any way to fix
this?

Thanks,
-Russ

Are your Preferences set for Instant Playback? If so, and the rendered file looks fine, then it could just be a result of the low quality playback. Setting your Preferences to High Quality playback will give you a better representation of your project, but it will also take longer as it renders a temp file.

I am set for Instant Playback - and the rendered file looks fine. Also viewing AVI & MPG files look okay in the editor too - it's just the project files that look jagged upon playback. I hate to ask a stupid question, where can I find the setting for higher-quality playback? I dug pretty deep, but could'nt find that setting. I am using an older version (I don't have the version number handy as I am at work now, and the software is installed at home - but it's about 2 years old).

Thank you

Menu: File | Preferences ( or F6) | General: Playback method
This my understanding of it.
I have been proven wrong on several occasions in my life. It's not going to improve.
