VS10+ and audio fade-ins and outs

I have tried fade ins and outs with mp3s in my project and it doesn't seem to have any effect. Am I misunderstanding what it does? I thought it makes it quiet at the beginning (or end) and slowly increase (or decrease) in volume. When I try it, though, I can't tell any difference in volume from beginning to end. Is there a way to customize it to have it start quieter?

You have to be in Project mode in order to see/hear changes. Project mode is enabled by clicking on Project beneath the Preview Window.

Hi

The default fade¡Vin/out duration is only one second, I think.

Not long enough to get a good fade.

Go to File Preferences-edit tab to change/increase this time.

Switch to Audio View to see the effect.
