In v10 there is a Reverse Video checkbox on the Video Tab. I don't recall if that was on earlier versions (someone else will surely let you know). But don't rush to buy v10, as we think v11 is right around the corner. (You could, however, use the v10 trial until v11 does appear.)

Hi HereComesThePain

I would advise an upgrade from VS 8

But you can try the filters from FXbench http://www.burgers-transition-site.de/index.html

After install the filter should show in the video filter section of the library.

I believe there is an option to reverse the video.

Insert Fxbench filter to your clip¡XCustomise filter¡X (many choices) Flip Horizontal

I don't think he wants to flip, I think when he says backwards he means what Black Lab said, play it in reverse...
This my understanding of it.

Version 8 did not have the facility to reverse the video - this option was introduced with version 9

Why don't you just download the VS10 trial, use it to reverse your clip and save as a new to keep going? Then you import the reversed clip in your VS8 project.
This my understanding of it.
