According to the software CD that came bundled with my Sanyo Xacti C4 MPEG-4CameraCorder, DVD Movie Factory 3 SE (MPEG 4) SHOULD recognize this format, but it doesn't.
Trying to burn DIRECT from the SD card reader to DVD.
Instead, I have to first transfer the MPEG-4 videos to my hard drive, then painstakingly CONVERT to (regular) MPG format using Photo Explorer 8.0 SE software, THEN pull back into Movie Factory 3 in order for the software to recognize and compile the dvd.
Am I missing something here?
Happy Holidays, Lou
Does Anyone Know How To Burn MPEG-4 Videos to DVD?

I also tried out MPEG-IV. But for Videostudio 8, I had to purchase the MPEG-IV plug-in. This is a new encoding codec. It's still in developing stages, the only use for it right now is for storing large movie files onto the hard drive. In a couple of years it should be available for DVD burning. I first heard about MPEG-IV, but under it's orignal name from Mainconcept, about a year ago. Great encoder, it can reduce the size of a MPEG-2 file by almost 80 percent.
