Custom Titles - JPG Files And / Or BMP Files / Or PNG Files

Post by Grizzly Bear »

I am using Ulead VideoStudio 10 Plus and would like to use a custom graphic for the beginning title and ending title of my movie. I can save, convert the file to any format, e.g., jpg, png, bmp. How do I add it to the Title Library, which by the way is extremely limited in choices.

You don'r add it as a title, you add it as an image. If you are going to place it over existing video footage, I would recommend using a PNG file and preset your transparent color, so that you know up front what will show through. You can also use the chroma capabilities to get the transparency, but I found that the chroma doesn't give you the granular feel that a photo editor can. You can also use both together to get a differnt look as well.

Once it is in the image area, you add it to the overlay track, and you can manipulate it in there.

In the tutorials there are a couple of guides for doing this. Look for 3d titles, I have not been in there for a while, so I can't give you a direct link.
