Help on Help

Post by Russellina »

Hello All,
I just downloaded and installed VS 10 ver 10.0.0110.0 Plus.

The help files did not download. I have searched the Ulead site and it refers to a seperate installer pack which contains a "contents pack" but it doesn't give any clue as to where to this contents pack. Is there a seperate file that downloads or do I find it within the program?

Thanks!

I should have mentioned that I am working with a trial version.

I imported a quick time movie file and many of the features (multi trim, playback speed, etc) are not available. They are greyed out.

If my problem is that I need to purchase the full version, no problem. I can do that, but I don't want to spend the money if these items are not going to be available.

Thanks ahead for your help.

The trial version comes without a number of features in order to keep the download file size to a minimum - one of the functions it does come without is the help file - but you can view/download the user manual in .pdf format here :-

not sure about the .mov file option but it is quite possible that is not included in the trial package - it certainly works for me in the full programme - there is no point in downloading the 'extra contents' file - it will not work with a trial version only a full version.

And if you do decide to buy the full version, you might want to wait just a little while as we are expecting the release of VS11 any day now...

thanks guys. I ended up purchasing VS10 about 10 minutes before Ken's post about VS11 being released in a few days. Go figure.

The paid version fixed all my problems. I'm extatic with the upgrade and I love the new features. The best part is VS10 appears to operate much more stably on my PC then VS9 ever did. I worked for hours yesterday without crashing or needing to reboot to fix memory issues even once. Everything loaded extremly fast. I love it. :D

I am bummed that I have to pay to upgrade to v 11 and I missed it by days.

Keep your receipts. You may be still able to upgrade to v11, depending on when it is actually released.
