Hi,
after upgrade from gold to platinum i tried to play .ts files. I had great hopes that is platinum feature would function, but nothing happens - only a blank screen. Also renaming the programmstream to .trp doesn't work.
What filter is reponsable to decode the h.264 streams?. Perhaps it is not installed properly or registered.
any idea - or a work around?

Thanks to Bignickfly for his suggestion but *.mov does not workBignickfly wrote:Its look like Windvd 8 does not support H264 Transport Streams I throught it would too.
What happens if you rename *.mov will it play then?
In the meantime i found out the work around.
The solution is to rename the streamsuffix in .mp4.(hmm .. container-format)
Now WINDVD8 can play the avc/h.264 transport stream.
The result is pretty good.
Slight problems with the deinterlacing - but richly colorful.
Exact synchronization between video and audio. - hats off!
Most of the features to manipulate the screen-output are greyed out. -what a pitty.

I tried renaming the .ts suffix on my captured HD files to .mp4 but I then get an error message "The file number 1 has invalid file format". Is something else required beyond simply changing the file extension?
Thanks
