Cannot Register Movie Factory 6

I downloaded the TBYB version of Movie Factory 6Plus and have subsequently purchased, recieved the license key, and activated it successfully. However, it will not let me register it and is not showing a serial number in the normal window. As I only have the license key and not the serial number, it will not let me register via the website.

How do I register the product?

Also, when I downloaded the 2 files that were discussed in the email with the license key about additional content and try to install them, it tells me that it cannot find Movie Factory 6 installed.

Does anyone know what is going on here as it is definately installed as I have used it!

You'll find the serial number under "Settings, About DVD MovieFactory". I had the same problem but registration worked finally.

This is a problem that has been reported on with the activation of TBYB. For some reason the patches etc., do not see the activated version as a full version so will not install.

Try doing a complete un-install/re-install. Ulead programs leave a lot of files behind. So just doing a simple add/remove programs from the control panel and then re-installing may not correct some issues. Instructions can be found here : Re-installation of Ulead Products

The serial number if not provided in your email, can be obtained also through Element 5, who handles all the ESD purchases for Intervideo/Ulead. Go to the Customer Service Page, log into your account. You should then be able to locate the products purchased, including the serial numbers.

So does that mean I re-install the TBYB version or the full version? Will my serial number work on the full version... or only the TBYB version?
