Can someone let me know if I can do this in DVDWS.
I have a 30-minute program made up of five different subjects, each subject has it's own chapter points.
I only want to playback a subject/segment. That is for example, I want chapter 2 to start playing but stopping just before chapter 3 (not going all the way to the end of my entire program).
So far, the only way to do this has been by editing my 30-minute programs into seperate mpeg clips, creating a playlist to play all clips and buttons for individual segements.
Is there any way at all to do this without having to cut up all my 30-minute programs which is a royal pain?
Thanks in advance.

Playing individual segments or chapters only

When a title is played, regardless of chapter start point, it will play until the end of the title unless the viewer presses a menu key on their DVD player.
Personally, I generally edit in Media Studio Pro and create seperate source video files for each standalone subject, and chain them together or use DVD-WS's Play All feature if multiple subjects are to be played in sequence for a specific menu button.

Not in DVD WS
As you have already figured out (and as Nick mentioned), to get the effect you want, you will have to create smaller titles from your one large title in order to be able to play one section and return to the menu. DVD WS 2.x doesn't allow you to play just a single "chapter" of a long title...

That's what I figured.
At DV.com "Inside DVD" forum this came up and I basically said the same thing, I haven't been able to do this with any other authoring program I've used including DVDWS. Someone there posted it could be done and I just wanted to check that this was not correct.
Thanks for the quick responses.
