Can't Run Trial Version on Vista Premium
Not a lot to go on here. After installing, whenever I select "New Video Project" or "New Slideshow Project" Windows pops a small dialog box that says "Ulead DVD MovieFactory has stopped working" and lets me know that Windows will close the program and notify me if a solution is available. Suspecting codec conflict but if anyone else has an idea, I have 29 days left. Bottom line is if I don't see hdv from my Sony HDR-HC7 play on standard dvd in either a Toshiba HD-A2 or a PS3 in 29 days, I won't be buying anything after trying period

Issue Resolved but Now No Way to Write HD-DVD
Simply removing codecs enabled the application to come up. That was nice. I put a five minute 720p clip with a menu in about five minutes. Interface is nice and simple - a credit to ULEAD. My intent was to demonstrate that I can play hd content on an hd player such as Toshiba's HD-A1 using a standard 4.7G DVD+R before going out and purchasing anything. Either MF6+ does not have this capability, MF6+ has this capability but the trial version doesn't or MF6+ trial version has this capability but I don't know what I'm doing. I'd prefer the latter to be the case but something tells me it isn't. Would appreciate if anyone familiar enough can tell me. Do I have to have an BD or HD-DVD burner in order to play HD content on a BD or HD-DVD player?

Done
Jumped the gun posting. Found the launcher provides an interface different than the standalone link to MF6+. Found the option to create an hd-dvd in what I think the help file called the host application. Now its time to see if it plays in a Toshiba machine at my local store. If it does, I think I'll be going home with one and I have 28 days left! Looks like MF6+ is a winner
