Replacing sound

Post by sergiolon »

Hi,
I have ULead Video Studio 10.
I'm a newbie and just trying out my first project with a wedding video.

One scene, I would like to replace all sound with an audio track.
Apparently, according to the User Guide, this is not possible.

Is there a way around this?

I tried muting the current sound on the clip, saving it and then adding audio, but it didn't seem to work.

Any suggestions????

Many thanks !

Welcome to the forums,

Is the video one contiguous clip, or several clips? If it is several (which I'm suspecting it is), then no that can not be done. You need to join the clips into a single clip, or mute them individually.

Are you just saving the project (VSP) or rendering a vido file (Share>Create Video File)?

IF the latter, then start a new project, insert your newly created video file, then hit mute. Now you should be able to insert an audio track to the music or narration tracks.

We have a Products Tutorial Section. There are specific tutorials and general tutorials, that can help you through the maze of video editing.

A Recommended Workflow has been developed to help guide you through the mine-field of video editing, as it pertains to Ulead's VideoStudio Programs. They can be viewed here:

I don't have VS10, but can't you use the "rubber band" to kill the audio and add the new audio as a voice track?

You could, but hitting the Mute button is much easier.
