I capture video thru a Hauppauge device that encodes 'mpg in real time.
I'm just looking to cut out unwanted segments in the video and save the results as 'mpg files without all the authoring that goes into a typical video.
I find the editor in Ulead MF3 for cutting and joining video segments to be outstanding in features and ease of use.
I can watch the final video either on my PC or my Apex DVD player, which will also play 'mpg video files.
Don't like any of the mpg editors I've found around the internet and wonder if there's not a way to simply save video in Ulead MF3 as 'mpg without having to go thru all the re encoding all over again?
Thanks !
'Save As' MPG ?

You can choose to export your edited video to AVI/MOV/QT/MPEG/WMV in the new DVDMF4.
New features in DVDMF4.
Feature comparisons between DVDMF 3 and 4.
Hope this helps.
