Hiya,
I've got a winfast 2000xp expert tv card that came with Videostudio 8se. THe trouble is that videostudio when trying to create a DVD disk comes up with the error message "cannot open file" just before starting to burn after rendering. I have tried the setup on another computer (tvcard and software) and have exactly the same problem. All patches have been applied. The computer has been given a clean install and patched to latest everything and the latest drivers.
This is the only reference to this error i can find on these forums http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... en+file+96
This is exactly the same problem i am having
Any ideas
Thankyou in advance

Given that the version of VS 8 you have is labelled SE, which indicates it is crippled in some way, it could be that you do not have the capacity to use it for burning DVDs.
You are obviously producing an MPEG-2 which is DVD-compatible. I was wondering whether you have any other program, such as Nero, with which you could try burning it to disc. You might also want to consider burning it first to an RW disc in case something else is wrong. That way you avoid producing a wasted drink coaster.
