WinDVD 8 settings issues

I'm a long time user of WinDVD...
I'm somewhat disappointed with v8.

Whatever happened to being able to "dislocate" the player from the bottom of the program window (screen in fullscreen mode)?

Also, nearly ALL setting in the video center are greyed-out.
I can't move the sliders under the color tab, can't access smart stretch nor anything in the video effect tab.
How can I get them unlocked? I'm running the full version DVD 8 Platinum...

I have just purchased the Platinum version and faced the same problem with most settings greyed out, including color, video effect, and others. Please help!

Well, it is easier to solve everything oneself than waiting for someone here to help.

S3NTYN3L, turn off the hardware acceleration, and you will have all greyed-out settings working again.
