I downloaded and installed the trial version of videostudio 10 and I tried to capture video from my VCR using PYRO A/V Link analog to DV converter. Every time that I try to capture a sample clip vediostudio 10 locks-up.
I have an old version of videostudio 7 and it works okay most of the time. Can anyone give me some suggestions on how to fix this problem?
My imac has 1.5 gigs of memory so I don't think it's a memory problem.

Have you tried capturing with the iMac and the program that comes with OSx using the MAC OS interface? That would verify your external hardware is working correctly.
I would try capturing in the MAC OS to an external harddisk (FAT32). Then import the dv.avi files into VS when running windows on the machine.
